Our word of the week was "stress" so I took one photo, flipped it, and then layered it on top of the original photo in order to gain the true feeling of stress.

Behind Those Walls

While creating this Self-Portrait, I pushed myself. Since I usually work small and detailed, I chose to work large with charcoal as well as focusing on perspective to help "draw" the viewer in.

Taking a Bite Out of Spoleto

While studying abroad in the small town of Spoleto, I was given the task to "Recreate my Experience". During long hour drives through Italy, we passed dozens of sunflower fields that made me smile each time we drove by.

For my Mid-Term I created a portrait of myself using the theme soul and body. I used colored pencil to draw myself and my background is newsprint dipped in coffee.

Phosphines

For this work of art we studied phosphines and visually showed what we saw when we closed our eyes. I used watercolors, markers and oil pastels in a water color template.

This is a acrylic painting of the Ashley Hall School pond fountain. We painted in the Plein Air style which help me see contrast and values, while studying impressionism.
